CROWDFUNDING COMIC

NACHO GOLFE | DANIEL AZCONEGUI

What is this project about?

A spectacular adventure comic (in spanish)… with historical rigor and traditional art.

This comic delivers an epic, spectacular adventure while staying true to the historical rigor that defines writer Nacho Golfe.

It also becomes a true work of art thanks to the traditional, hand-made artwork by illustrator Daniel Azconegui: pages painted one by one using watercolor and acrylic.

70 full-color pages, including a fold-out spread midway through the story that will leave no one indifferent. An adventure packed with action, tension, and mystery—carefully edited and designed to showcase the work of this creative team.

Synopsis

Reliquias – La puerta de Shambhala

The Second World War was the greatest conflict in history—and in its shadows, secrets were hidden that should never have come to light.

For years, the Nazi regime, through the Ahnenerbe, organized real expeditions in search of ancient relics linked to legends, myths, and the origins of their ideology. Objects which, according to their beliefs, could change the fate of the world.

That’s where our story begins: an adventure thriller of mystery and conspiracy, where Hitler’s men and an ancient secret order clash in the darkness… while a librarian and a mysterious woman are drawn into a race against time to prevent the past from destroying the future.

Strech goals

If we surpass these stretch goals, we will consider new rewards for all backers.

Why support on Verkami?

Because this isn’t just “buying a comic”: it’s making the best edition possible and supporting the people who create it—directly.

This campaign allows 100% of the profit to go to us, the authors (after deducting, of course, printing costs, packaging, extras, and shipping). Our goal is to make more than a year of work financially viable and give ourselves the push we need to tackle the second part of this story: las Reliquias – La Orden del Equilibrio —a sequel we’ve already begun working on, confident in the success of this first campaign.

We also want to highlight that once the campaign ends, the project will be 100% finished, ready to go straight to print. That’s why, more than a crowdfunding, this is… A SPECIAL PRE-ORDER, giving you the advantage of enjoying it before the rest of readers in Spain.

On top of that, this will be a unique edition, with exclusive gifts and rewards available only during the crowdfunding campaign.

We’d also like to make it clear that we were the first to bet on this project: we haven’t just shown an outline and a few sketches of a possible work. We’ve done the research, developed the script, drawn the comic, and painted it with our whole soul until it’s finished. And now, at this final step, we’re turning to readers for support.

PUBLISHING AGREEMENT

We have reached an agreement with Yermo Ediciones that will add an extra layer of quality to the book, as we will be using their printing expertise, their layout, and their professional lettering.

This guarantees that the presentation and overall quality will be exceptional—making this edition even more special.

Later, when the comic reaches bookstores as part of Yermo Ediciones’ catalog, sales will follow the standard publishing pipeline and profits will be shared between the publisher, distributors, and authors.

Acknowledgements

Thank you for being here and sharing this project.

We deeply appreciate your support and trust in us. THANK YOU FOR BEING PART OF THIS GREAT ADVENTURE!

Schedule

Here is the exciting timeline we have set for this crowdfunding campaign:

Campaign start (March 4, 2026): We begin the campaign with the comic’s artwork already 90% complete, including the cover. This ensures the remainder will be finished during the campaign and final layout will be completed between March and April.

Printing (April 2026): Once everything has been fully reviewed, we will send the comic to print. This gives us enough time for production and ensures every copy meets the highest quality standards.

Reception (May 2026): We will receive the printed comics and all other rewards. This is a key moment, as we’ll finally see the project materialized and will be able to share it with you.

Shipping to backers (June 2026): Once all elements are ready, we will pack and ship rewards to all backers efficiently and carefully, ensuring every reward arrives in perfect condition as soon as possible.

Commission shipping: For backers who requested commissions, we will ship their reward along with the requested commission as soon as it is completed, so you can enjoy your full reward in a timely manner.

Thank you for being part of this project!

FAQs

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a collective funding method where people (backers) support creators directly, without intermediaries, through small contributions in exchange for “rewards.”

The creator (in this case, Nacho Golfe and Daniel Azconegui) launches a project with a funding goal (primarily to cover printing and shipping/packaging costs), and the campaign runs for 40 days. At the end of the campaign—and only if the goal is reached—the creators receive the funds and can ship all rewards to backers.

What is a “reward”?
A reward is a product backers receive for contributing. Depending on your pledge, you can choose the comic or other rewards such as prints, artbooks, commissions, etc. All options are listed on the project page.
I want Nacho and Daniel’s comic—how do I get it?
Thank you! It’s very simple: follow the link in the bio and you’ll be redirected to our Verkami page. Register following the platform steps, choose your reward, and complete payment. You will receive your reward within the timeframes shown on the project page!
Verkami? What is that?
Verkami is a crowdfunding platform (like Kickstarter or Ulule), fully secure and operating since 2010. It allows creators to fund projects directly with backers in exchange for rewards. It has financed more than 11,000 projects.
Why Verkami and not Ulule or Kickstarter?
This comic will be released only in Spanish, and Verkami is the platform most focused on that audience.
I don’t like entering my bank details—what payment methods can I use?
Through Verkami, you can pay by bank card (debit or credit via BBVA’s secure payment gateway), Bizum, or Google Pay. Don’t worry: transactions are 100% secure and neither we nor Verkami will receive your bank details. Only BBVA’s secure gateway processes your payment information.
What will your contributions be used for?

Your support is essential for bringing this project to life. Contributions will be used carefully to cover:

Printing and production: A significant portion goes to printing the comic and producing materials, including any unlocked stretch goals.

Tracked shipping and protective packaging: We want every backer to receive their reward safely and on time. We will allocate budget for tracked shipping and proper protective packaging so everything arrives in perfect condition. The successful delivery of our previous crowdfundings backs this up.

Direct support for the authors and continued development: Any funds not used for production, printing, shipping, or packaging go directly into the creators’ work and the ongoing development of the project—supporting the effort and dedication of the team.

In short: every contribution becomes tangible progress for the project, a carefully crafted comic edition, and the momentum needed for new stories to be born.

While the campaign is active, can I change my reward or cancel it?
Yes—during the campaign you can cancel, edit, or add rewards to your pledge. If you cancel, your payment will be refunded at no cost.
When and how will I receive the rewards?
We plan to start shipping the first packages in June–July 2026. Packages will always be shipped with tracked delivery, perfectly packed and protected to ensure they arrive in perfect condition.
What rewards can I choose?
You can choose from: comic, artbooks, original art, A3 character commissions (or special commissions—contact us), and special packs combining the above. We designed a variety of rewards so your pledge can fit what you’d most enjoy. Without you, we couldn’t keep making projects like this—thank you!
What is a commission?
A commission is a custom art request. We use this term because it’s common in the illustration world. We are offering A3 character commissions, plus the option to add an additional character in the format you choose. You can select any reward and combine it.
What if I want something different—like my cat riding a unicorn?

Hey, that would be fun! If you don’t want a character piece or you want a composition with several characters/elements, message us through Verkami, Instagram, or email Daniel directly at info@danielazconegui.com
. We’ll discuss the idea, and if everything is correct, we’ll add a custom reward through the platform so you can place your order safely.

I’m interested in one or more originals—how does the pre-reservation system work?
Because we can’t add a drop-down selector in Verkami rewards so you can reserve specific originals, we created a section on this website where you can view them all—and most importantly, reserve them. This way, we avoid two reservations for the same page and we don’t have to create one reward per original page (which would be cumbersome). The system is simple this website on the 3rd at 21:00, we will open reservations. You simply add the original(s) you’re interested in to the cart, fill in your details (first name, last name, and email), and complete the steps. The reservation is completely free and you won’t make any payment on this platform. Then, on the 4th at 21:00, the crowdfunding campaign opens. At that moment, you must select the reward corresponding to the original you reserved and complete the process on Verkami. Remember to use the same first name, last name, and email you used for the reservation, since we will cross-check data between this website and Verkami so you receive what you requested. If by the 5th at 21:00 the reservation has not been completed on Verkami, the original will become available again on the website. For reservations made after the campaign starts, the reservation window will be 24 hours. We will keep you updated as we upload new originals so you can view them.
What if I don’t want to use the platform to request a commission?
Sorry—only during this campaign will Daniel’s commission list be open. Afterwards, it likely won’t reopen until the end of 2028. The last time commissions were opened was during the 13 Horror Anthology crowdfunding campaign, when he announced he wouldn’t open again until 2024/2025… and we’re already in 2026.
I chose a reward and paid—what now?
We’ll keep posting updates on the project page (goal progress, stretch goals, and other relevant info). Once the campaign ends, we’ll contact you to confirm your shipping details (full name, address, etc.). We will always contact you through the platform, via a form—but on some occasions we may email you from the project email account (laordendelequilibrio@gmail.com ). In those messages, we will never ask for your bank details (keep that in mind)—only your address and contact info so we can ship your package as soon as possible. If you’re moving or traveling during the shipping period, you’ll be able to provide a delivery address you’re sure will have someone available to receive it at the time we confirm your details. Courier companies usually attempt delivery up to three times; if they can’t find you, they will return the package to us and we will contact you.
I already backed the campaign—or I can’t back it but want to help. What can I do?
First of all, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Simply sharing the campaign with more people through any channel—so it reaches someone who might be interested—helps us achieve success and keep making new projects.
I chose a commission reward—how do I choose what I want?
In the coming days we will contact you so you can tell us what you’d like for the commission you requested.
